Dr Janette McGuinness

Dr Janette McGuinness graduated from UCD with a First Hons BSc. Degree majoring in Zoology. In 2000 she began her medical studies with The Royal College of Surgeons Ireland qualifying with First Hons in 2005.
In her final medical exams she was awarded first place in Ireland in her written medical paper from The Royal College of Physicians as well as winning the RCSI Reuben Harvey medal for Obstetrics and Gyneacology. The RCSI Mc Lean Medal in Surgery, the Beaumont Hospital Desmond Lyons Memorial Medal in Surgery and the Robert Mc Donnell Memorial Medal in Surgical proficiency.
She completed her vocational training in General Practice with UCD in 2010 and began her career in General Practice in her home town of Greystones. She became a full partner in Greystones Harbour Family Practice in 2014.
Since qualifying she has completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma in Dermatology from UCD. Through the Irish College of General Practitioners she also holds a Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine, a Certificate in Community Gynaecology and a Certificate in Medicine for the Elderly.
Through her practice she has developed a keen interest in Dermatology, Paediatrics, Women’s Health, Care of the Elderly and Palliative medicine.
Outside of medicine she is Mum to the “Fabulous Four” and when time allows enjoys swimming, hiking, reading, travel and has plans (for some time now) to learn German and piano.
